EMT/Intermediate/Paramedic (Firefighter Trainee)

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and write the English language.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to obtain a Colorado driver’s license within 60 days of employment.
  • Must successfully complete the LPFPD Motor Skills Assessment.
  • Must possess BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification. Intermediate/Paramedic must possess ACLS.
  • Must be a Colorado or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (Basic, Intermediate or Paramedic).
  • Must meet LPFPD firefighter job requirements within one year of employment.
    • IFSAC Firefighter I certification
    • CO Hazmat Operations certification
    • NWCG Basic Wildland Firefighter certification
    • Successfully complete LPFPD Functional Ability Test)

Firefighter-EMT/Intermediate/Paramedic

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
